Overview

Wayfarers are travelers and spirit-walkers — those who move between places and between states of awareness with unusual ease. Their three areas of practice are Conveyance (magical rapid travel, eventually teleportation), Spirit Awakening (awakening the spiritual nature of objects, places, and beings), and Fascination (bending others' wills through subtle influence). Wayfarers are the Sorcerers most naturally suited to intelligence work and the carefully managed social influence Basilica politics rewards.

School Abilities

●○○○○ Level 1 (No Gnosis) — Prepared Travel: a prepared vehicle, marked path, or ritual starting point allows triple speed for one journey. Roll Intelligence + Survival (diff 5). 30 minutes prep.

●●○○○ Level 2 (No Gnosis) — Awaken Object: a specific object becomes aware, communicates simple impressions, and develops a rudimentary personality. Permanent. Roll Wits + Occult (diff 6).

●●●○○ Level 3 (1 Gnosis) — Subtle Influence: plant a suggestion that feels like the target's own thought. Doesn't compel action. Roll Manipulation + Empathy (diff 7) vs. Willpower.

●●●●○ Level 4 (2 Gnosis) — Spirit Path: move through a location's spiritual shadow, bypassing physical blockages that don't exist spiritually. Roll Wits + Occult (diff 8).

●●●●● Level 5 (3 Gnosis) — Teleportation: arrive instantaneously at any previously visited location, bypassing physical barriers, bringing up to two companions. Roll Intelligence + Occult (diff 9). Requires a prepared marker at the destination.
