Who They Are

The Brothers Grimm had one thing right: stories are darker than the world leads you to believe. Ogres were born of violence and harrowing circumstance, shaped by Keepers who wanted a monster they could point at things and say hurt that. The Dreaming made them into something terrible — and somewhere in the making, something happened the Keeper didn't intend: the monster started thinking. Ogres can be gentle. The gentlest of the giants hold something terrifying just under the surface, not because they want to frighten anyone, but because that is simply what they are now.

Seeming Contracts

Level 1 is shown below; Levels 2–5 escalate in cost and power — ask your Mentor for the full progression packet.

Contract Level 1 Effect Catch
Stone ● Stone Skin — skin hardens briefly for +1 soak against Lethal damage for the rest of the scene; reflexive activation. Free (automatic) when taking a hit meant for someone else.
Curses ● Mark of Fear — presence becomes overtly threatening to one target; Willpower roll (diff 5) or they avoid coming within arm's reach for the scene. Free against a target who has already expressed fear of physical harm.
Fleeting ● Titan's Rush — double speed for one turn, with enough physical weight to shoulder obstacles aside. Free when closing distance to protect someone from an attack.

Blessing & Curse

Blessing: The Strong Curse: Dim Wit
Permanent +1 Strength, growing with Wyrd rating, applying to all Strength-based rolls including damage, feats of strength, and physical intimidation. Permanent -2 to Wits — not unintelligent, but easily swayed and slow to update a read on a situation once formed.
