Who They Are

Where Elementals are chosen for what they are, Wizened are taken for what they can do. They are the apothecaries, healers, miners, and crafters — taken from their mortal lives to serve in their tasks, made small and unobtrusive and dedicated so they could work without distraction. The Dreaming made them into something that lives for work, not because the work is joyful, but because stopping would mean finding out who they are without it. Do not mistake this for subservience — the small and out-of-the-way see everything, and they built the homes, the weapons, the foundations that everyone else stands on.

Hearth ● Warm Presence — allies working alongside them gain +1 die on extended task rolls (crafting, research, repair). Passive, always on. None required — always active.
Artifice ● Quick Hands — completes any manual task at double speed with no quality loss. Not usable in combat rounds. Free when completing a task someone urgently depends on.
Cleansing ● Detect Impurity — detects whether a substance or object has been tampered with, poisoned, or supernaturally altered. Free (automatic) when examining something about to be given to someone else.

Blessing & Curse

Blessing: Smart and Nimble Curse: Spiteful
Permanent +1 to both Dexterity and Intelligence; Dexterity increases further with Wyrd growth. Permanent -2 to Appearance — the accumulation of years spent small, overlooked, and underestimated, worn visibly and without apology.
