Who They Are

Physicians are indispensable anywhere — and in Basilica Purgatory, where the outside world produces injuries the God Machine Guild's official medical infrastructure can't always address quickly, they're something more. Their knowledge extends beyond standard medicine: Omega Crate pharmaceutical compounds with only partially understood interactions, wounds made by things official medicine doesn't acknowledge, secrets about patients that would create serious problems if disclosed. Every faction maintains a quiet relationship with at least one Physician who can treat an oddly healing wound and not ask too many questions.

Once per session, obtain medical information about a specific individual through official channels without a roll.	Knowledge makes them a target for pressure from every direction — refusing to disclose has consequences, and disclosing costs the trust their Profession runs on.

Roleplaying the Physician

The most interesting Physician characters have an ethical framework extending beyond the Basilica's official medical guidelines. In a city where the God-Machine's infrastructure runs on something no one in medicine officially acknowledges, a Physician who asks the right questions eventually finds themselves in territory their training didn't prepare them for.
