Black Furies

Werewolf (Garou) Tribe

Justice Served, Whatever the Cost

← Back to Werewolf (Garou)

Who They Are

Before the End, the Furies focused their justice primarily on women and children. After the End, after watching the whole world face ruin, they expanded their mandate. The whole world is worth protecting now. Gorgon, their totem, was once unjustly treated by a more powerful spirit — she calls the Furies to stand against all forms of injustice, wherever it is found, at whatever cost. Gender is no longer a prerequisite for deserving justice or for joining the tribe.

Nickname Furies

Viewpoints

On... ...they say
Children of Eshtarra Peace is a worthy goal. So is justice. Not always the same thing. We respect their path even when we disagree with their methods.
Fianna They remember the old stories better than anyone. Someone has to.
Get of Fenris When their cause is just — and often it is — exactly who we want beside us.
Glass Walkers They know the city in ways we do not. We need that knowledge.
Silent Striders They bring word from the wider world and ask for nothing in return.
Kindred We can work together. Just keep your distance.
Hunters They protect the balance in their own way. We watch and work with them when aligned.
Sorcerers Their magic has limits and costs. Trustworthy enough.
Mages Assholes. We knew you couldn't be trusted.

Black Fury Tribe Gift Path

●○○○○ Heightened Rage (Passive) — Rage rises instinctively when witnessing injustice, bullying, abuse of power, or harm to the vulnerable: +1 die on all Physical rolls for the scene.

●●○○○ Sense Injustice (Passive) — feel the emotional residue of harm or wrongful treatment done to a place or person touched, as a directional impression pointing toward the cause.

●●●○○ Avenging Strike (1 Rage, diff 6) — while genuinely fighting to defend or avenge a specific harm, all attacks deal aggravated damage regardless of form or weapon.

●●●●○ Gorgon's Gaze (2 Gnosis, diff 8) — meeting the gaze of a being who has committed genuine injustice forces a Willpower roll (diff 8) or temporary immobilization against the Fury and those they protect for the scene.

●●●●● Eshtarra's Justice (3 Gnosis, diff 9) — calls down formal judgment on a being with documented, witnessed injustice: for one month, their worst transgression is visible as a spiritual brand to all Garou and most supernaturals.

Eshtarra's Gift & Tribal Cost

Eshtarra's Gift: The Avenging Spirit Tribal Cost: The Binding Fury
Permanent +1 die to Brawl and Melee when defending or avenging genuine injustice. Always active when the cause is just. Witnessing direct injustice against a vulnerable being requires a Rage roll (diff 7) to choose restraint over immediate action. Consistently restraining without addressing the injustice costs 1 Willpower per week until confronted.
